Roasted Yam
Ingredients:
Yam
Salt
Water
Ingredients for Sauce:
Palm Oil
Habanero Pepper
Aromat
Onions
Bell peppers
Smoked fish,Crayfish
Tomatoes
Directions:
- Cut your yam in small pieces.Rinse and soak yam pieces in salt water overnight, keep in your fridge until needed,this keeps the inside moist during roasting.
- Preheat your oven @ 300℉ Drain out the water and place in the oven,grill for about 20 mins,to allow the yam to cook through, then change your settings to broil on high for additional 5-10mins, otherwise you can just start with with 275℉ for 20 mins and increase it to 325℉ for additional 5-10mins,
- The yam is done when it becomes light golden and crunchy.
Fried Stew
- Heat up your palm oil in a frying pan, when hot add your sliced onions and stir.
- Add your blended peppers,add aromat,crayfish,and allow to to fry for 15 mins.
- Add shredded fish and continue to fry.
- Allow to simmer.
Serve with your roasted yam & Enjoy.
