Buttermilk boneless chicken sandwich

   Buttermilk boneless chicken sandwich

 

       For buttermilk chicken sandwich – follow the directions for the bone in, skin-on, fried chicken but we will substitute the bone in chicken for boneless chicken

 

Buttermilk fried chicken

Ingredients 

6 boneless chicken

4 cups buttermilk

Vegetable oil

4 cups plain flour

4 tablespoon garlic powder

2 tablespoon black pepper

2 tablespoon onion powder

4 tablespoon paprika

2 teaspoon cayenne

2 tbsp aromat

2 tablespoon curry

1 tablespoon mixed herbs

 

Directions 

In a bowl, mix the following; garlic, onion, pepper, paprika, curry, cayenne, aromat, until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine half of the spice mix with the flour, mix until the spices are well incorporated

Transfer the chicken to a mixing bowl and sprinkle the remaining spice over, until each over each piece is well coated

Pour the buttermilk over the chicken and stir until the combination of the spice and buttermilk create a light orange color

Marinate the chicken in the fridge for 4 hours or keep overnight

Preheat your veg oil to about 300℉ in a frying pan

Now coat each piece of chicken with the spiced flour, dip them back into the buttermilk, transfer back into spiced flour, shaking off any excess

Now fry for about 10-15 minutes or until you get crispy golden brown

Once cooked, place on your paper towel, plate to remove excess oil

Serve and enjoy.

 

 

Additional ingredients:

Butter ( room temperature)

Burger buns

Lettuce

Sliced tomatoes

 

Instructions/ directions

Heat up a frying pan

Add butter to the buns and toast on the frying pan or toaster until crisp

Build your sandwich with the toasted buns, lettuce, fried chicken, tomato slices and mayochup or mayonnaise or heinz salad cream.

 

Serve with french fries

Enjoy

 

To make your own buttermilk you need the followings ingredients:

3 cups of whole milk,  One lemon or lime juice or 4 tablespoon of white vinegar. Add lemon/ lime juice or vinegar to milk, stir together and leave to set for about 5-10 minutes at room temperature, you will notice some curdle  in the milk, that’s fine, that makes the buttermilk
