Chicken shawarma
Ingredients:
Boneless chicken
1 Onion dice (optional)
Seasoning cubes, curry, white pepper, aromat, garlic
2 tablespoon veg oil
Heinz salad cream or mayonnaise
Ketchup
4 flat bread
Cabbage
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Yogurt or mayonnaise
Chilli pepper
Aluminum foil
Directions:
Marinate your chicken for intense flavor- add onion, curry, garlic, aromat & set aside
- Preheat your oven (a) 400℉
- Coat your chicken with yogurt or mayonnaise to avoid it drying out
- You can either grill your chicken on a pan or grill
- You can bake the chicken in the oven for almost 30 minutes.
For grilling option grill until nicely charred
And cooked through and set aside.
For baking option bake until browned on both sides
When ready slice the chicken into desired size
Rinse your tomatoes, shred the cabbage
- Lightly heat up your flat bread in a dry frying pan on low heat a minute on each side
- Remove your bread, lay out on a flat on your aluminum foil
Spread your salad over, add your cabbage, add your tomatoes, add lettuce
Add your heinz salad cream generously
Add ketchup
Top it up with your grilled or baked chicken
Roll the foil around your creation
Enjoy.!
Alternatively if you have access to Heinz mayo chup you can use this instead. Mayochup is a combination of mayonnaise & ketchup
