Rice
Veg oil
Salt
Water
Directions/Preparations (white rice)
- In a pot add 4 cups of rice
- Add 5 cups of water, add 2 tablespoon of oil
- Allow to boil for 20-25 mins
- Rinse out the rice to get rid of all the starch
- Continue rinsing out until your water becomes clear
- Return your rice to your stove top, gradually adding water, just enough water to cover the rice ( about 1-2 inches above the rice)
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt, give it a stir, add 1 tablespoon of oil
- Reduce your heat to prevent burning
- Cover with a lid and steam for 15 mins , until your rice is fully cooked
- Allow the water to completely dry out before turning off your heat
Once your rice is ready, there are a lot of tools to allow you to make a lot of cool shapes.
